Lebron James Wasnt Easy Getting Players to Come to Clevland

It is hard to make a decision. Just ask LeBron James. It took him weeks to make "the Decision," and less than an hour to announce it.
Think about it. What was the hardest decision that you had to make? Marriage? College? Moving? What ever it was, it was a decision that had to be made.
Now think to yourself. Was the decision you made the easy way out? If so, how did it turn out? Most likely not what you had thought.
That's the way life is. Any success you want has to be earned. You have to work hard for it. The harder you work the more successful you are going to be.
Even though I was kicked out of college, I went back. Worked very hard and graduated.
Yeah, I took the hard road, but I turned it into a success.
Unlike LeBron James.
James took the easy road. He walked away from Cleveland to possibly win a championship in Miami. He was already winning as a Cavalier; just not in the form of championships.
Don't let James fool you. He knew he was walking away from the Cavs. There was no way that a player was going to go there unless James had already committed or signed an extension during the year.
James was not trying to convince players to come to Cleveland. That would have been hard. Having to pick up the phone and tell players that he is going to sign a contract for less money in Cleveland and wants you to come along for the ride was too much to ask.
Coming back from a 3-2 series deficit to the Celtics would have been hard. Just ask Kobe how hard it was.
In fact, ask Kobe how hard it was for him to stay a Los Angeles Laker. It was easy for him to demand a trade. Heck, the Lakers were not a decent team when he requested a trade.
All Kobe wanted to do is win. So he stayed. Jerry Buss made some moves and now the Lakers are the defending, repeat NBA Champions.
Now Kobe is the top player in the NBA. He has learned how to work hard and make it through to the summit. He is the exception. Look at some the players that jumped straight from High School to the NBA, or the ones that played one year in college.
Amar'e left for New York. LeBron left for Miami. Bosh is now wearing a Heat uniform.
Now look at some of the players that went to college full-time and graduated before joining the NBA.
Dwayne Wade, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird, just to name a few. All of these players have a championship and have played for the same team their entire career.
Each one of those players knows what hard work entails and they never gave up on a team, a city, or the fans.
In my mind LeBron gave up. He doesn't want to work hard. He wants it to come easy to him, just as it has for most of his life playing basketball.
I am not saying that his life has been easy. I am saying his life on the basketball court has been.
Sure, everyone wants the easy life, but how do you get that? By working hard, and sticking with it.
Than when it is all said and done, you can look back and marvel at your own accomplishments and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
Instead James took that fruit and squeezed all the juice he could, from the franchise, the fans, and the city, until there was no more juice left in the rind. Now with every step he takes towards Miami; Cleveland as a city crumbles. One season ticket at a time.
